No doubt. Never understood this weird pose. I guess its supposed to be a speedy crouch so you can run while still making yourself smaller and harder to see. There must be something to it, because I only see it in Japanese television.
In this particular case... its for boobs. But that isn't always the case. Also, as if your back didn't get fucked up enough by having large boobs... you literally run like this and remove all of the support your spine can give.

It's supposed to force you to keep on running if you don't want to fall over. That running style was common among ninjas for long time travel. As a side effect, you are also able to run faster, compared to other long distance running styles.
Not using your arms while running spares stamina on top of that.
