Now Viewing: amano_yoshitakaTag type: Artist (天野 喜孝) A popular and prolific male Japanese artist born on March 26, 1952 in Shizuoka, Japan. He was always interested in art and started his career at Tatsunoko Productions in 1967 working on anime like Mach Go Go Go! and Time Bokan. In 1982, he left the studio and became a freelancer before joining Square in 1987 before returning to freelancing in the 2000s and establishing his own studio, Studio Devaloka, in 2010. Amano's heavily stylized paintings were influenced by early Western comics, particularly the work of Neal Adams, late 19th century art noveau, and Japanese ukiyo-e paintings. He is known for drawing androgynously beautiful male characters and giving characters a pale-skin look. As most of his work is fantasy-related, he has also designed many monsters. He is most famous for his work on the Final_Fantasy franchise, designing both the logos, and for the first six games plus Final Fantasy IX, the characters. He is also well known for frequently collaborating with light novel author Kikuchi Hideyuki.
