I have to agree, in some ways.

As a person who designs costumes as a hobby, I can say that I, personally, would have added more contrasting colors (perhaps yellow? still fiery) and probably not gone so bizarre with the hair. The skin-tight pants paired with suit jackets are also a bit confusing to me.

However, for their purposes as a deluded group of people trying far too hard to be "stylish", among other things, these designs suit them quite well. As a group, Pokemon villains aren't exactly known for being the most fashion-forward, with few exceptions.

Personally, if they made the hair more normal and removed the skinny-ness of the pants, I would like the design a lot. But those irk me.

I don't know, personally I think they had the best outfits so far. I think a lot of that is from the shades though; those are seriously great shades, and really do a lot of the heavy lifting for the design.
