Yeah, this actually happens. It's the plot for an entire episode. Brigadoon is a very good mecha show and everyone should watch it. It appears to be a typical kids' show at first but gets crazier as it goes on. There's a few episodes that are heavy on the fanservice, this one, another where the main girl eats an age-up fruit while stranded on an island, and a bath house episode.
