The Amaura evolutionary line is most likely based after the Amargasaurus, sauropod that belonged to the Diplodocidae family.

The one based after a Brachiosaurus is the Chikorita evolutionary line.

.P.S.: And by the way... I do love the Amaura line, they're adorable, awesome as both special attackers and tanks and their ability is a god send (Turning Hyper Beam into a 150 base power Ice STAB move? It's almost too good to be true).

Ehh...I prefer the new and improved Frost Breath over Refrigerate Hyper Beam.
60 (Base Power) x 2 (100% Critical Hit) = 120.

But the Ice type in general is looking better and better these days!

Actually, critcal hits are now x1.5, not x2. So the equation is more like this:
60 x 1.5 = 90
Same power as Ice Beam, but 10% less accurate. Talk about cold! XD
