i really dont see why some ppl are reponding negatively about the fairy type no one has even used it before so you ppl are too quick to judge just becuz dragon gets an additional weakness you ppl respond negatively to it unlike some of you ppl i like the fact that fairy has became a new type dispite dragon getting a 3rd weakness

I think part of the negative response is that some people hear "fairy" and see the pokemon like Jigglypuff and Marill that have been given it, and go "Ew, this prissy girly type beats DRAGON?"
I was honestly pretty annoyed at first, too. Not because of the added weakness for dragon type, as I barely use those anyway, but because, while every other type was more elemental-sounding, this is...fairy. I still think that maybe it should have been "Light" instead.
However, I don't hate the type. While I'm kind of irked that Marill is a fairy type because I see nothing even remotely fairy-like about it, I'm not against using the type if they include any Pokemon that interest me enough to be worthy of my attention.
So far, I'm not impressed with the fairy types I've seen, but they haven't shown us any new ones save for Sylveon (which I'm getting sick of fast, because it's constantly thrown in my face), so I'm holding out hope they'll give us at least something kind of badass. If they do that much, I'm cool with it. However, if it turns out to be nothing but little puffballs, I'll be forever annoyed, and I'm surely not alone in that.

Hydreigon, haxourus, scrafty, and other pokemon were what made me give gen 5 a try. If it weren't for them popping up in my tumblr dashboard a few years ago, I'd have been a genwunner and despised the pokemon franchise. And because of them, i loved gen 5, they are like heroes bringing, the inner
poke-fan out of me, so to speak.
Even though I accept the fact that dragon needed a new weakness, still seeing your heroes beaten up like this, by a few girly puff balls none the less, is a little heartbreaking.
I agree with the anon above, if they keep fairies confined to puff balls and not something cool ( or maybe even badass)
I"ll be steering clear of them.
Although if they are weak to things like poison or steel,
some of my other favorite pokemon like crobat, steelix, aggron etc would receive a boost they needed since it all began.

A weakness to poison be good as poison is only super effective against one type.

^ just because of some group of losers that don't like the play the game how its meant to be played, you're punishing an entire type?
Ghost was one of the underdogs in the first gen, its taken them quite sometime to be able to be useful, don't take that wawy from them
