= means both directions have the same truth value. so if i say a = b, then we must have that b = a, by the symmetric property. what you guys mean to say is trap ==> androgynous, while the converse is false, i.e., androgynous ==> trap is false. whether or not it actually is false will depend on your definition of trap.
