Compared to the other four destroyers of the 11th Destroyer Division, Shirayuki is a calmer, more level-headed, and somewhat more feminine girl. In the official 4koma manga though, she also shows a somewhat unhealthy interest in shooting and even has an ammo shell collection in her room. Shirayuki has medium-length brown_hair in low_twintails with parted_bangs, and has brown_eyes. Like her sisters, she wears a plain white-and-navy-blue serafuku with a short-sleeved collared shirt, neckerchief, and pleated_skirt. In her combat gear (machinery), she wears her smokestack, bridge, and mast like a backpack, and carries torpedo launchers strapped to both thighs. Her single twin-cannon turret is carried on a purse-like strap mounted to her wrist. Her loafers are armored, as well. She was sunk in an air raid while escorting troop transports from Rabaul on March 3rd, 1943 near Papua New Guinea.
