Why does he keep going back to Rebellion and Force Edge? doesn't he have like a dozen better swords?

I think he's being sentimental. I believe Rebellion was a gift from his father to keep the inner demon sealed. And Force Edge maybe his father sword. I dunno...

Force Edge is indeed his father's sword. Too bad that there most likely won't be another real Devil May Cry game where Dante gets to use the Spards sword and its full power. Trish I think should be using Alistor.

Dante used the Rebellion first against Vergil that unlocks it's true potential power his DTrigger, Alistor was like another sword Dante would be like ok I just use this for the time being, then he fights Nelo Angelo combine powers into Force Edge true form.. In Viewtiful Joe one of the chars found Alistor n becomes knight

Kouryou, the way I see it, he always uses Rebellion because it's HIS sword. Another way to look at it is a soldier and his rifle. Sure there's hundreds of 'better' weapons out there, but MY M4 is all I need.

From what I know, Rebellion, in DMC, is a manifestation of Dante's power in a physical, and lethal, form.
So, in that way, it truly is his sword.

As for Force Edge, that was DMC1 only, he got it after beating Vergil in DMC3 and likely used it because he wanted to honor both his fallen brother and father.
