pseudo-physics time. in comparison to the size of her, the gun is a perfectly normal size for any anti-infantry rifle. she's a woman, so her frame is obviously a bit smaller, making the gun appear slightly larger. there's a lot of recoil because i'd guess she's pretty light, she's standing off-balance, and she fires it under her shoulder, close to her center of gravity. Anon 2. there's no evidence the bullet is exploding anywhere, because the target isnt shown, plus, incendiary or delayed-detonation rounds are pretty standard with ammunition that large.

Well, in all honesty, firing a rifle of that caliber would do more then just knock you off balance, they are meant to be shot with the butt against the shoulder.
You are correct 'bout it being roughly the correct size, considering the model looks like it was taken from the Barrett M82, which is actually an anti-material weapon and not a anti-infantry (or correctly known as anti-personnel).
