The female is....rather unique. Have different taste from previous ones although the overall design is quite bland. But because of this

I almost never have had a problem with how the trainers have looked like. Well, except for him in bw2. I just never could get over that ridiculous fuzz. That was also my first pkmn game in which I choose the female trainer instead.
Once again though, this is just the opinion from some random guy on the internet. So if you like Kyouhei, then more power to ya.

Personally I like the new design for the male/female protagonist. And if there is customization, that's even better.
I almost never have had a problem with how the trainers have looked like. Well, except for him in bw2. I just never could get over that ridiculous fuzz. That was also my first pkmn game in which I choose the female trainer instead.

@hanger I don't think the protagonist wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for his awful hat. His hat ruins his whole design. I hope that isn't his final design since the trailer we got a technically a beta version of the final game and the official art didn't come out yet.

@Anon2: I could said that for me, Bw2 Protagonis is the third best designed after Black, Ruby (Emerald Version). Though I agree that his fuzzy hair really ridiculous looking. It mattered at least for me because I like the characters of Pokemon. Ken Sugimori have great knack for designing characters outfit, just look at HGSS gym leaders new costume. But this.....
@anon3: Not that you mention it, yeah that hat was godawful ugly. Not to mention what that glasses doing there. The same is almost applied to the female protagonist except it just the glasses that kinda ruin the design. I hope Ken Sugimori seriously revised these.

@Anon2: I could said that for me, Bw2 Protagonis is the third best designed after Black, Ruby (Emerald Version). Though I agree that his fuzzy hair really ridiculous looking.
