Of course he's not mad. Ash Catchem doesn't get mad. Or sad. Or upset in any way shape or form. And despite being nothing but unyieldingly chipper and agreeable, he doesn't actually show any interest or affection in anything or anyone except Pokemon.

Pretty sure he lacks a soul. Probably a demonic entity crafted by Satan to lightheartedly endorse the sin of animal cruelty.

pikachus probably fried him so many times hes gained an immunity to burns and electricity is just an advanced form of fire, so its not surprising
