Now Viewing: suzumiya_haruhiTag type: Character 涼宮ハルヒ Titular main character of Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu. A spunky, demanding teenage girl who loves mysteries and paranormal phenomenon. She is multitalented and very aggressive in pursuing what she wants even if other people protest her actions. Initially, she is friendless, very rude and self-absorbed, but as she spends more time with the SOS Brigade, she gradually grows kinder and more genuinely happy as a person. The other SOS Brigade members attribute this change to Kyon's influence. Haruhi has feelings for Kyon though she is reluctant to admit it openly. She is also noticeably nicer towards children and likes to play with them. She is voiced by Hirano_Aya, her breakthrough role. She also won the Best New Seiyuu award for her portrayal of the character in the first Seiyuu Awards. In Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoushitsu, she is mostly the same as she is in the canon series, but she is noticeably much nicer and more sensitive to others' feelings and concerns. Her appearance in the manga is based off of her appearance in Suzumiya Haruhi no Shoushitsu.
