Just picture if the worlds traded Narutos when they were born. Half the bad shit in Naruto would never happen because Menma and Sasuke really would be best bros instead of a hair away from kicking each other's asses. Meanwhile, in AU Naruto, Original Naruto and AU Sasuke would also be best bros and go on epic adventures and tons of other cool stuff.
Personally, I like fighting so I would stay with the original that would now have Menma as he was bad-ass and stuff. I can imagine the AU as a light-hearted version of Naruto that would be mostly about pairings and comedy and would also watch/read that though.

Yeah, only problem with that is that the characters are not "born" that way.
When he was a kid, original Sasuke was as happy and carefree as AU Sasuke is, but that changed when Itachi murdered his clan. If that had never happened, then he would be just like AU Sasuke.
While on the other hand, original Naruto's personality comes from being desperate to get people's attention, having grown w/o parents and whatnot. Both original and Menma had the Kyubi sealed in them when they were born, the only difference being that one still had his parents with him and the other didn't, and yet the one without parents is a goofball while the ont with the "normal childhood" turned out badass.
So you see, having them switch worlds at birth wouldn't change anything, since their current personalities are the result of the way/people/circumstances they grew up in.

When Sakura gets kidnapped by Menma's army, Minato and Kushina refuse to go after her and Minato even slaps Naruto claiming that rescuing her is hopeless and they even sacrificed sakura's parents to seal the AU Kyuubi inside Menma.
