yeah, its totally un-Misato, even if you take into account plot deviations its very OOC imho. Anno plays with attitudes and plot twists in his new Eva it seems.

14 years of war to protect the planet, started off by one horrible event that forced her to watch her surrogate son turn into her darkest childhood nightmare and almost end life on earth.
No closure, only disappointment and heartbreak and an ever increasing sense of pressure as she rises to the occasion to command WILLEs greatest hope of finally winning the war.

...i´d say its not OOC for her to be extremely pragmatic and cold after the way her life has gone. After all: she always had a certain Captain Ahab-streak when it came to the angels as well as veeery different faces she wore off- and on-duty.
And who´s to say she isnt still a slob whose private quarters are a complete mess? Probably less beer in the captains quarters, but might still be pretty close to what her flat used to be like.
