I can't remember, did Blue's ditto get its dna stolen by rocket when they were tricking them, or was it Blaine's DNA that was at fault for Mewtwo turning out as he did?

This is good point, the Rockets had DNA from Mew but to get a full amount of genetic material they used Dittos, who can copy any pokemon DNA.
Maybe if Blaine hadn't placed his own DNA, Mewtwo would have been a Mew instead of the badass we know.

My only issue with this image is the height, this seems to be a constant with this guys art as well.

According to this image Mewtwo stands 6'7" but the human next to him only appears to be half his height.

Even if you place Mewtwo on level ground with him (as he is levitating in this image) it would still make the human around 4' tall.

Honestly, this reminds me more of Dark Souls and/or Bloodborne than Pokemon. Like something that needs to be killed with fire before you can find out what horrible things it'll do to you.

That aside, it's amazing art.
