Definition of the VERB "glop"/"glopping":
transfer (a sloppy or sticky substance) to a container.

And that's why we specify what types of words things are at the beginnings of definitions....

P.S. Definition 2 of the noun form is actually specifically more like "tasteless or worthless music or literary material," not referring to material as in the physical sense, by the way.
