Is there some sort of crossdressing cloud hovering over Gelbooru right now? I'm not complaining but it just seems like the last few days there's been at least one picture per page where as a week ago they might as well have been non-existent.

When Naruto defeated Kakuzu with the Rasenshuriken, Ino was actually surprised at hos mistaken she had been to underestimate Naruto and mentally changed her opinion on him (and we know that for the girls in this manga, Strong Ninja = Hot).

Also in the anime, when Naruto defeated Pain, she said how "even she could even fall for someone like him".

So sure, its not like there's some great backup for this pairing or anything ,but considering how these days most ships start with much less than this, its not surprising that this one has started to get popular.

Heck, if you truly want a random pairing then look at the SasukeXHinata thing. That's the very definition of random, since they haven't shared a single word and are probably not even aware of the other one's existance. Yet you'll find fangirls (and Sasuke fanboys butthurt that he no longer gets all of the girls attention) who ship them.
