It's from the anime. anime. In the anime he wore his DMC outfit and used the rebellion.

Its also because PxZ Dante is Post-DMC Dante when Force Edge became Sparda (the weapon), meaning he wouldn't have it and would, naturally, go back to using his Rebellion, which he used in the prequel, DMC, and had used in the canon continuations of DMC1, the Anime, DMC4, and DMC2, all of which used Rebellion.
