She may be on a cooled table which is increasing her consistency to a more solid state and is being pumped full of refrigerant or liquid nitrogen to completely freeze and restrain her. A freezer probably wasn't efficient or fast enough to prevent her escape, so they have to take the more extreme method of (near) instant freeze.
