IIRC, veils typically cover the face at funerals only. Though in some weddings, the bride will wear the veil over her face as she walks down the aisle. Either way, there's nothing out of place about the veil here, especially compared to other veil-related fanart on the site.
Going by in-game sprites, every shield looks the same and every sword is longer than William Wallace's broadsword. Please don't use 16-bit equipment sprites as a standard for comparison.

The sword is still too small. That look's more like a dagger. Save the queen is a longsword, MAYBE equivilant to a bastard sword. So i wonder why the artist chose that size... i doubt the artist made it too small as a mistake... has to be a purpose.
