When the guy got the arisen bond, he thought of it like a wedding ring, so he wanted to give it to his pawn, who he basically made to look like his waifu. He really wanted the bottom panel to happen.

lol he's talking to pawns, but you cannot use square can give them a gift because they are eternally loyal and bond to you.

This is one of the bad thing about this game, you cannot romace your pawn, you only get the "becoming one ending".

i just wish you could romance your pawn.....would have made a better battle against the dragon...just sayin'
