I noticed that in the FUNimation subs. It's kind of hard to say, some names are very arguable until Oda writes it out himself in plain Roman letters.

But that doesn't always work out: Usopp and Usoppu or Big Mom and Big Mam.

Shirley (the Medium) is also the name of the fortune teller in Courage the Cowardly Dog, both a pun on the term "surely."

I am serious, and don't call me Shirley.
