it's probably because he always makes ''the shot'' that he got a gun. Because of his accuracy. Aomine? I think he'd rock a katana, lmao.

(Most of) their weapons suit their playstyles to a tee.
Kise has flair and style, so the whimsical fan (OK, no copying shyet, oh well)
Midorima makes long-range shots, ergo the... long-range-shot-maker.
Aomine is a badass at close one-on-ones, and I guess the katana lends itself best to unpredictable/formless moves.
Akashi doesn't need any weapons but to stand there and look smug. Everyone else IS his weapon.
I'm surprised no one in the anime drew a comparison between Kuroko and a ninja before.

Mukkun is just, uhm, longer than everyone else? I don't see why the polearm needs a condom on the end though.
