She didn't act clingy throughout the whole game. Her lack of experience with men is what made her want to get so close to Emil, but she did grow out of it. These two are cute together because they literally need each other. If it starts with "leg-humping", or rather: attempting to gain his affection and leads to a full on understanding and relationship, I'd say no one would complain if the feelings are reciprocated.
