Don't do it missingno! He's only giving you it to benefit himself in the long run! Friendships with Missingno.s tend to only go one way.. And it's not the good way. :/

I saw a Missingno cosplayer at an anime convention once. I gave him a hand-ful of wrapped hard-candies and told him they were rare candies. Such an awesome moment lol.

Depending on several factors, Missingno. can have many forms and advantages.

An example: Catch Missingno. and teach it Fly. Then, put it in your PC, and while it's in your PC, check its stats. Withdraw it, and you have a Rhydon that knows Fly. Teach Rhydon Surf, and you have a Pokemon that knows both Surf and Fly, making it a very useful Pokemon to get around with. As Rhydon can learn Strength, you can have it know three HMs.

Another thing: in Pokemon Blue, if you name your player DAVID (like that, all caps), and you do the 'find Missingno. trick', you can encounter level 183 Mewtwos.

^ I actually saw a Red cosplayer with a Missingno. cosplayer at NYCC this year. They were behind me on the entry line.

The Missingno. was wearing a pixellated-looking bodysuit with blocky bits to replicate the shape, that's how I knew what he was.
