Its not too difficult Anon, you just need to learn how to use layering. I primarily use Overlay for darker portions and Multiply for lighter portions. I'm only using Paint.net right now, but when I learn PhotoShop, I'll probably be able to do better. It also helps if the picture was already shaded and the like, like this one was, where it was just black & white.

Thanks for the compliment, I am very pleased with how this pic and the Lilith-Mode Morrigan variant came out.
