"If you can't *catch* 'em... *earn* 'em." is a phrase within the growing underground community of young Pokemon trainers who cannot compete with their older competition.

"The nature of Pokemon Training is that EVERY ONE on the PLANET is struggling to be THE VERY BEST... like no one ever was!" says current Elite Four Champion Ash Ketchum.

Ketchum continues, "For every winner, there is a loser. And as we all know: it is customary that the winner gets COMPENSATED by the loser... and if you lose several times in a row, you can no longer afford more poke balls, so then you can't catch more Pokemon... and if you can't catch more Pokemon, you can't win more money! Well, these kids gotta get cash from SOMEWHERE. They're a thousand miles from home, business regulations keep them from getting hired at 'regular' jobs, so these kids turn to this 'grizzly underworld'. What else do you expect? There's a bunch of young adolescent teens fresh out of elementary school running around alone in forests filled with strangers who range in age from ten to sixty. How can you NOT expect this being exploited?"

Former Pewter City gym leader, Brock Harrison, states, "I took up Pokemon Breeding instead of Training for two reasons... one of the reasons being: It's less competitive and has more room for success."

Brock has written several successful books that span across several topics such as cooking, breeding, and grooming, but none as wildly popular as his autobiography which he wrote during his time in prison for running one of the largest child prostitution rings found in the Viridian Forest.

Recounting his crime Brock admits, "The pay was outstanding and the benefits were very pleasurable. And these kids would do anything, ANYTHING, to get a few steps closer to becoming a Pokemon 'Master'. It's like they were brainwashed since birth to think of nothing else. I chose a different route early on in age so I wasn't leashed to that insatiable thirst. And being a Breeder, I had a veritable FACTORY that pumped out all the Pokemon they thirsted for. Since they couldn't pay for my Pokemon with cash, I provided them a different way of earning money for me."

In response to a candid interview question with Misty Waterflower of Cerulean City Gym last month, she exclaimed "I was fortunate enough never to be in that position. But it surely didn't stop countless other trainers from approaching me and mistaking me as a 'girl for hire'. A part of me feels like that is where Brock got his idea from."

We asked Brock if her statement was true to which he replied, "Not entirely." He spoke of how he day-dreamed of the possibility of someday getting into that business while he was still only eight years old. Misty's encounters with "willing buyer's" gave Brock a reassurance that there was going to be a stable market for it. "But it was actually watching Dawn DOING it when I decided that it was the business for me."

Unfortunately the world-renowned porn star and former Pokemon Coordinator would not give us comment on Brock's claims. Yet, the countless eyewitness reports and photographs that have surfaced over the years of her fame have indeed hinted of her early involvement in these activities.

Stay tuned after the commercial break as we delve deeper into the hidden, gritty underbelly of the Pokemon Trainers' black markets.
