A cardboard robot from Yotsubato!.

It is actually a school project by Hayasaka Miura and is technically Miura in disguise. When Yotsuba first sees it while visiting her friends, Miura is already inside. But Yotsuba does not know this and believes it to be a genuine robot. Miura and Ayase Ena know the truth but opt not to tell Yotsuba.

Although Danboo technically is not a character, it has become very popular and is even the mascot of Amazon.com in Japan. It is also the star of a stop motion short film called Le Danboard.
