Goddamnit. I want Hilda to be forever like that.

In my opinion, there is no old or new Hilda. This is just who she is. She no longer thinks she's a servant with no purpose other than serving Baby Beel. She's just acting like how she really would. This is the real Hilda here. She loves Beel, and maybe even Oga, because she still feels the same about people she knows. She felt like Furuichi was just some creepy douche. She was right. She acquired satisfaction from beating Kanzaki and Himekawa. She looks like she felt rivalry from Aoi. The writer is trying to show that Hilda loved Oga before memory loss, but without making it completely obvious. I think it's brilliant.

Hilda gets memory loss? Maybe she does like Oga. But a long series like this always gets bad reviews when 2 of the main characters get together. Without the romantic tension or whatever people get bored. I'm just saying what I think from watching the anime. I don't read the manga

I agree, anon 3. I like how Aoi has feelings for Oga but he rightfully just doesn't give a shit well enough to show whatever his twisted version of love is back to her. Either that of he is just completely oblivious. I'm going to assume the latter because... Well let's face it, he thought Kunieda was the cousin of her made up character that she had played as in earlier episodes.

(SPOILER)
But Hilda does return to normal in the end. :)
It certainly seems the Anime/Manga has been good about keeping the characters from dying, as well as keeping the main character as clueless about others feelings while still learning about what is right or wrong.
