No I mean this guy Anon2. On first playthrough, you'll likely get killed by him, cuz you won't get ANY shield that can block his attacks well until blighttown.

There's also the greataxe one in the catacombs that drops down and blindsides you while you're dealing with a necromancer and 2 skeleton archers if you didn't kill it beforehand. I forgot about him and the one in the tomb of the giants while I was getting chewed on by a skeletal beast. Scared the crap out of me both times. Barely survived the greataxe knight. I panicked and got cornered by the ToG knight and that beast jerk and died fumbling for my WoG miracle after remembering I had it a minute too late. I think these 2 are the worst because all the rest are usually 1-on-1 fights and these jerks love to gang rape you. JMO

Well those were fairly simple fights for me I just followed my policy "When in doubt fire out" of course it doesn't hurt that I use the greatsword
