PETA as an organization is kind of crazy. They sponsor domestic terrorism, and are on FBI's list of domestic terrorist groups. They have a list of 'acceptable crimes' in pursuing the cause, including property damage, arson, and theft.

They also routinely round up animals without doing their due diligence in verifying that they're stray animals, and euthanize (kill) healthy animals - in the neighborhood of a couple thousand every year, some of them stolen from families.

Combine that with some of the silliness on their web site, like comparing the food industry to the holocaust . . . well . . . you get the idea. Crazy people.
