Nobody said IM@S had a monopoly on the genre.
Heck, Project Diva and Dreamy Theatre are part of the genre as well as you're watching Miku and comp. perform.

Nope, it's an anime called Pretty Rhythm: Aurora Dream. I'm not 100% sure but it's about Ice Skating and Idols.

It's also skewed more towards a younger audience. Basically meant to promote an arcade card game.
