Yes, let's all remember that in Final Fantasy Tactics you can use a monk from the beginning of the game until the very end because they are just 18 forms of badass. As for the samurai you can't really do that. Their sword skills are not only expensive as fuck but they're not really all that great compared to the monk, not to mention the monk can heal by just moving. I'd say her fist is going to comfortably eject the samurai's head off her shoulders because her defense is made of butter and monks are not.
