Quite interesting story, this manga has. An alternate-history fiction; Japan lost to Russia in Russo-Japanese War of 1905, and Korea is divided 50 years sooner than history by Russia and America.
The main character, a Royal Prince of Korean Empire goes to Japan in political exile, and becomes a Japanese naval officer, joining the crew of the battleship Mikasa, which is manned by female sailors.
Many Japanese Right-wingers hate this manga for having a Korean as the main character who builds intimate relationship with female Japanese officers (and sailors) I kind of admire Nogami Takeshi's imaginations.
