TBH I think this pairing is the highly plausible, because Mariya pretty much treats Matsurika as his equal (at least I think so) even if they do have master and servant relationship, then again there's not much progress between them beyond that and also that little sister of Kanako's cannot be disregarded from the equation.

So, the Japanese fans decided on a pairing, huh? ^^ I don't like Kanako, so I'm eager to see how the relationship between Miki and Mariya will form and the dynamics it'll bring. To the above comment, you're right. Mariya treats Matsurika as an equal and maturely while he treats looks down on Kanako and treats her like the obnoxious child that she is.

At a con i saw a cute couple cosplaying as maria and matsurika (guy and girl respectively). They were holding hands. Clever cosplay for a couple. As an accuracy bonus they were both asian.
