Dunno what version of FF8 YOU'VE been playing. Squall's anti-social, not emo. Emo is when you wallow continuously in self-pity and think about how meaningless existence is. Squall doesn't wallow in self-pity. He just keeps to himself, thinking it's better for him to be alone. He also doesn't faff about endlessly. He jumped down several floors to save Zell, charged Edea when Irvine missed and pretty much challenged Esthar to save Rinoa. The latter was the ONLY one he needed a push on and it wasn't even a big push. He makes a decision and sticks with it. He was the same in Dissidia. Anti-social =/= Emo.
