This would be a problem with Gardevoirs if they really existed... because a lot of trainers feel like they would rather die then see them fall into harm

in retrospect, I would forbid someone to die for me. Even if it's in their nature. No one deserves to die, it is just another aspect of time, but I would rather leave this place quickly and to protect, then suffer and be in vain...
