alot of otaku grow to be fat and balding, so to best allow those with the highest demand to find vicarious satisfaction, many independent artists as well as well funded studios, depict women engaged in acts of sexuality with fat and/or bald(ing) men.

That's pretty much spot on, Anon3.

The fat guy is supposed to be the reader. And his baldness helps give him less characteristics to allow you to portray yourself as the character, a lot like how they don't make the main character talk in RPGs or make the MC eyeless and with long hair in visual novels.
