Science for the inquiring minds:

When developing, human fetuses are pretty much the same until very late in their development- the X and Y chromosomes only kick in for the gender definition in those later stages.

Now- by default, we all start out *technically* female (hence male nipples). Our genitalia share many common characteristics: The clitoris is the same part as the glans of a penis, the testes are opposite of the ovaries, the outer labia parallels the foreskin, and so on and so forth. This is of course put in very general terms- but that's basically it: the penis is kinda like an inside-out vagina and vice versa.

Fun fact, the clitoris is an underdeveloped penis. Before the sex of a fetus begins to take shape in the womb the clitoris is formed, if the child is male it will grow into a penis. If it is cursed with the inferiority of two x chromosomes the clitoris will stop forming, leaving the nerve cluster of course. However, this creature is gifted with an innate talent for sandwich-making. Of course bothe xx and xy are vastly inferior to xxy as this variety possesses the most desireable traits of both xx and xy.
