Don't be a fool. Underestimating them? Dude, it's not like they got stronger the moment they implanted the lacrima. They had to control the power, train with it. And the lacrima was implanted coz he was frail but that doesn't mean he doesn't have any potential, his potential was already shown, if you didn't see it then I guess you're just underestimating him, not putting any thoughts in it. And Cobra, he got the lacrima coz he was one of the child with strong magic power from the Tower of Heaven, so even without it, he can still learn some magic and be good in it.

Cobra's most powerful use of magic had NOTHING to do with his Lacryma. His listening magic essentially wrecked everyone he fought aside from Natsu, cause Natsu has Main Character status and has to win somehow in the end...

Laxus still has crazy lightning skills, but he is augmented with the lightning dragon powers, that's all.

The sole reason Laxus lost to Natsu was that he misfired Fairy Law. If he didn't do that, he'd still have alot more Magic power to sweep Natsu and Gazille. Makarov said it himself. The man could have been master if not for his attitude.

And Cobra lost due to Natsu screeching and making his eardrums explode.

1.There is a difference between artificial dragonslayers and new gen. Artificial are a copy of a real one new gen is a made up dragonslayer
2.It is true that lazier could have beat natsu and gajeel but natsu is special cause he will keep evolving faster than others so laxus would have lost either way(and like the other anon. said natsu has main character stats Sooooo he would have won)
3.Cobra is ok but his power really is limited cause of that listening skill
