Typing dante_alighieri, I expected to get some kind of cool anime version of him. But this is better. The artist is a genius for the way they interpreted the quote.

Considering his multifaceted lifestyle, being an extremely nerdy poet while serving in one of the more dangerous roles in medieval warfare (forward cavalry for the Guelphs at the battle of Campaldino) it's a shame that he's not the poster-child for a Renaissance man as opposed to DaVinche. But I agree fully. The context of the quote, ironically since it's what brought us here, involves Dante in the circle of lust in Inferno.
