Hasn't there been some floating isle stuff with holes in the ground too like Dragon Quest VI and the RPG Maker game Ara Fell? Oh yeah, and Skyloft from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. XD

I always wondered about that too, but since the setting is so old school in all of those, they could be forgiven, possibly. :p But not this. XD

Oh yeah, in DQVI at least, you go to another world when you fall through and can get back up, and in Skyward Sword, there's people on giant birds that are there to save you and they also have a surface world. :p Lucky them. ^^; Because normally you'd think you'd be dead if that happened. :p
