@Anon 2: What they believe is incorrect and just wishful thinking. It has been revealed that Link died and turned into a Stalfos after the events of Majora's Mask because he has been searching for a friend for way too long in the Lost Woods (Remember Fado in Ocarina of Time where she says during the item trade side quest that people who wander around the Lost Woods will be cursed with the curse of the Stalfos). However, he reappeared as the exact same Stalfos who teaches TP Link all the special moves in Twlight Princess.

It's a good thing he kept his humanity in Twilight Princess then but they still shouldn't have cursed him and doomed his life like that especially after all that incarnation of Link went through, that's just wrong. D:

@Anon 3: Actually it's more viable than you think, It says in the Hyrule Historia that TP Link is OOT Links Descendant. BTW it TP OOT Link isn't a Stalfos, He's the manifestation of OOT Links regret that no one will ever know of how he saved both Hyrule (Due to time travel) and Termina (as its an alternate world).
To have a descendant Link had to marry.
+Kokiri never die so there is no reason for them to reproduce, and it's specifically stated that the Great Deku Tree gives them life.
+TP Link isn't royalty so Link can't have married Zelda, as we see in TP Zeldas family still rules Hyrule.
+Likewise, TP Link isn't a zora, so that rules out Ruto, Ignoring the fact that OOT Link had absolutely no reason to return to Zoras Domain so Ruto likely doesn't even know he exists anymore.
+Gerudo only give birth to males every 100 years, and even then those males are royalty to them. Add in the fact that the Gerudo are all but extinct in TP and that TP Link shows NO signs of being one (Red hair, odd skin) and that rules out Nabooru.
+Taking into account that TP link has Epona (the same kind of horse that Epona in OOT was, which was a rare breed) means OOT Link had to:
1. Returned to Lon Lon to get Epona (Proven true by MM as he has Epona there)
2.Have married someone with knowledge of horses, otherwise TP Epona would be a mixed breed and look dramatically different.
And I believe I read somewhere that there supposedly was a scene cut out of the OOT ending that had Link and Malon Riding off on Epona. (May or may not be true take with a grain of salt.)

Sorry I ment Annon 4, Also I would like to elaborate on that point 1.
1. Link had to return to Lon Lon Ranch to get Epona.
If you recall Epona is incredibly special to Malon, so she isn't going to part with her best friend that easily. Link has 2 options at this point.
1. Steal Epona, Highly unlikely.
2. Convincing Malon to lend him Epona, by getting to know her and becoming someone she can trust.
I mean, would you trust some random kid with your best friend/pet? Even with how nice Malon is, it's unlikely that she would do that for just anyone.
