Im positive now, that the Mangaka is japanese and got its problems with german. ^^

Now im not sure if I translated it correct myself but... have fun anyway.

It's more like "Who is it, to be agonized" You have to remember that German sentence structure is different from English and, much like English, the way the sentence is worded can effect the meaning of the word, so they won't translate exactly.

Well speaking as a german myself this seems rather confusing.

The exact wording in the picture seems to be:
"Wer ist es gequält zu haben?"
translating roughly to:
-who is it to have tormented?-

I can only guess but I would think the artist meant something like "who would like to ber tormented" which would have to be:
-Wer möchte gequält werden?-

Since the artist couldn't find a 'ä' i guess it would have left too much holes in the sentence if he/she tryed to use two umlaute. :>

Or she means : Wie ist es gequält zu werden ? How is it to be tormented ?
