The only major problem this site facing is correct tagging, Most of the site is great and the moderation is doing a good job being on top of that. But there's many pictures that are insufficiently tagged

Yup, that's the reason why I made my account in the first place, both uploading and properly tagging whatever I find undertagged, sadly that's the deal with every single site like this we will never be able to cover everything unless we penalize the people who undertag such as ahegao_lmao (who was banned for unknown reasons)

Iirc the reason that guy was banned was bcuz his tagging was really bad everytime he uploaded but yh there's so many users who's names I won't mention who upload and just tag the pic with no effort it really becomes tiring fixing it

Yup, that was the reason. Ahegao_Lmao didn't bother to tag any of his posts, and that's why he was banned. The dumbass left a lot of busy work for others to clean up his mess. Then I remember the dude had the nerve to tell someone to "fuck off" (or something along those lines) when they confronted him on his poor tagging. He probably had a similar response to the mods who warned him over his poor tagging, and got banned for it. Totally deserved.

I get tagging may be tedious, and many of us who decide to upload may slack sometimes (that's perfectly okay, of course) but that guy uploaded thousands and thousands of posts without even bothering to tag them properly, and almost never gave sources. At that point you're just being an asshole. It was quite annoying to find a post you liked uploaded by him, and unless someone else tagged or sourced it properly, you were out of luck.

I feel like if it's a user who's constantly uploading and not properly tagging the pics should at least get a warning like "hey can you please put some effort into tagging" that would be really helpful honestly

I agree on this one, so many times browsing on the front page and end coming up across pics of dead girls from that guy who doesn't tag "death" or "guro" to his pics, blegh.

I remember DMing him years ago making him a single request, please ADD THE FUCKING SOURCE! Because for some reason I couldn0t find the source to most of his posts by using stuff like google lens or saucenao, "better upload it than not doing it" no man, that's not how it works

Man, at times I want to see this site inforcing e621 policy demanding at least 25 tags per post and if you ignore either the artist or the source then you get warned and banned

There’s a reason most of my decensors and edits come from images already posted here.

Because my brain is too smooth and it overheats if I have to think of more than 10 tags on my own.

Honestly I'm all for that policy orphan_crippler bcuz I'm getting tired of fixing tags for people who upload with no effort and not sourcing the pics as well
