I would randomize your three choices. It would fit D&D and you may end up falling in love with a Pokémon you've never had any appreciation for.

Actually I agree. I did my monotype challenges on 5 games and I start to like other Pokemon in my team while trying not to get the obvious mememons like Lucario or Charlizard.

Bulbasaur for utilities as rope, various powders. Miltank for provisions and meat shield. Aron for front line battles and mining gems.
