- That wonderful design choice when I do side quests and grinding for more levels or skills, only to come back to the same area I had trouble with before and find out the enemies leveled with me.

That's why I won't play modern RPGs even tho I'm a RPGfan. The amount of adnausea writing and any other bullshit is pure miasma. The shitty generic tropes and tarnishing the original soul and vision is the cancer what rots the genre. Even my favorite series isn't safe from the parasitic new blood that only played VNs. If I want a simple lighthearted adventure with hot ladies and kill god, I just check out another series, not the same one who has dark, complex, edgy, cool, you get what I mean.

I agree with you but at the same time have quite a polemic opinion, at least in the circles I'm more used to, I hate when a series changes its entire mood or focus, for example I hate how Adventure Time went from hilariously funny random but creative shit to serious and sad and boring and charmless and absolutely unfunny. I don't agree with that shitty argument of "But the series did grow up with its audience, it's normal for it to change and try new things! Only you didn't grow up." Bitch, I'm watching it only to laugh, if I wanted both serious and laugh I would be watching something like Avatar The Last Airbender or Bojack Horseman, and if I wanted something more serious I would be watching for Infinity Train or Monster, I don't fucking watch SpongeBob for the character development.
It's okey to change the mood from time to time and have special moments, that's why I still love the first Simon & Marcy episode, but changing it all is not my thing because it feels just completley wrong.
I'm okey with spin offs doing that tho, that's why I can't complain at Fionna & Cake despite not giving a fuck about it, there is a difference between a franchise having different entries with different moods (like DC), and a series/game changing the entire mood in the middle of the road.

I'm not a fan of step-family porn since it's very cheesy and convoluted, and often times the titles are clearly just slapped on for the sake of cheap shock value.
But I'd easily take it over incest on the mere genetic prospect. Being attracted to someone not blood-related to you, especially if you meet them later on in life, beats fucking your actual goddamn sister/mother. Blegh.
An 19 year old male having sex with a 16 year old girl who was just introduced to the family would feel like a rent-a-girlfriend situation. Definitely weird and likely manipulative, for sure, but the sexual attraction factor is perfectly normal since they're not related and didn't necessarily grow up together.
You know what that's a lot less creepy and fucked up than? Knowing her since she was an infant, growing up with her as a sibling, knowing she's your blood sibling, and yet still having sexual intercourse with her. Blegh. Blegh. Blegh.
