I hate when a character has hair hanging betweem the eyes for no reason, when I was younger it was acceptable, but over time I found it even more annoying to look at, and for some reason it's so damn common.

You mean bangs? I don't like them much either to be honest, but I heard the style is really popular in Japan. Apparently most girls there wear bangs. Or wore them, not sure if the fashion moved on, it moves on fast there.
