I've recently been seeing some very disgusting ads on the site featuring gifs of men masturbating, irl porn clips, things like that. It's gotten to the point where I've been forced to turn on an adblocker for gelbooru, but these inappropriate animated ads seem to be designed to be difficult to block, even if you block the element manually. This is degrading the quality of the site immensely. I'd like to ask the site owners to do a bit of quality control to prevent advertisers from ruining their site.

Those types of ads have been running for the entire 12 years I've been on staff. Unfortunately, due to the types of content we allow, we are limited on which ad providers we can work with, which limits what types of ads we can show. If we disallow those types of ads, we won't be able to generate enough revenue to run the site.

Consider supporting the site. Get an ad code.
